If you’re into cycling or walking the The Clay Trails and the Pentewan valley trail are very close by. The Camel Valley cycle trail is around 40 minutes away.
There are heaps of places to eat and drink, depending on whether you want fish and chips on the beach, or a gorgeous brunch at Watergate Bay. We can point you in the right direction.
St. Austell is going through a regeneration and has a new cinema, with some shops and cafes.
Or you could take a ferry to Fowey. Several times a day a ferry goes from Mevagissey to Fowey. The 20 minute journey takes you from the heart of Mevagissey to the picturesque village of Fowey – there’s then no need to worry about parking in Fowey, which can be an issue in the summer months. If you’re lucky you might see basking sharks on your journey over.
